Since joining the blogosphere , I have come to the conclusion that every blogger likes to maintain tabs on others. What I will do is add new blogs onto the blogroll onto the left of this publish, and try to categorize it by what sort of cards each weblog primarily focuses on (baseball, soccer, basketball, hockey, blogs that target Sports Cards more than one sport, specific set blogs, particular team blogs, or specific participant blogs, Hobby/Media blogs) after which embody the identify of the weblog and their most recent matter.

One other Twitter guy rightly explained that this isn’t the primary time this has happened and offered up the famous instance of the same Rod Carew picture being used in 1982 Topps (the in-motion card) and 1982 Fleer. I went a step further and confirmed the journal blurb in regards to the Carew card from the outdated Baseball Cards magazine from the spring of 1982. With what’s been happening in new cards these days, I thought I’d focus on it a bit of extra.

That was the objective at the time for most collectors: finding all of the cards within the base set. So when the 1991 Topps set came out, there was no indication that the workforce featured on cardboard would end up as World Champions. I get the sense that with a few of the older units, Topps featured better or extra distinctive images for the very best groups (i.e. the mid-nineteen seventies Oakland A’s).
